Sheikh Al-Azhar receives an official invitation from Abdul Mahdi to visit Iraq

An official source said on Wednesday that Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb received an official invitation from Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi to visit Iraq.
"The Prime Minister's envoy, Abdul Karim Hashem, handed over the invitation to Sheikh Al-Azhar in the presence of the Ambassador of Iraq in Egypt, and his permanent representative to the League of Arab States," the official Al-Sabah newspaper quoted a source in the Iraqi embassy in Cairo as saying. Ahmed Nayef al-Dulaimi. "
The source added that "during the meeting, they reviewed the positive developments between the two countries, Iraq and Egypt and the role of the sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in the Arab and Islamic worlds." Sheikh Ahmad Al-Tayeb welcomed the invitation and promised to meet it at the earliest opportunity. Ending / 25
