Sheikh Al-Azhar receives an official invitation from Abdul Mahdi to visit Iraq

A political source confirmed on Wednesday that Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi presented a graphic invitation to Sheikh Al-Azhar to visit Iraq, while the latter promised to meet the invitation.
The source added in a press statement that "Abdul Karim Hashem, the envoy of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] , handed over an invitation to Sheikh Al-Azhar Ahmed Tayeb to visit Iraq."
He continued: "During the meeting reviewed the positive developments between Iraq and Egypt and the role of the sheikh of Al-Azhar Central in the Arab and Islamic world," adding that "Tayeb welcomed the invitation and promised to meet at the earliest opportunity."
