A parliamentary source said on Tuesday that it was wrong to give a gift to female deputies on the occasion of the Women's Day or others.

The source said in an interview with Alsumaria News, "The news that indicated to give a gift to women deputies on the occasion of women or others is incorrect."

The source, who asked not to be named, said that "what was published in the media is not true, and the accuracy of the transfer of information must be carefully studied."

Local media reported that the speaker of the House of Representatives Mohammed Halboussi had given 25 million dinars to each deputy in parliament.
