    Representatives of Turkmen and Arabs in parliament are calling for the formation of an audit committee on the voter register in Kirkuk

    Representatives of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and Arabs in the House of Representatives called on the Board of Commissioners to form an audit committee on the voter register in Kirkuk. "The representatives of Turkmen and Arab components in the province of Kirkuk are very concerned about the failure of the Council of Commissioners to form a committee to examine the voters' record for the province of Kirkuk as one of the requirements of the election law of provincial councils in its section of Kirkuk,"

    He explained that "the delay of the formation of the Audit Committee puts the Board of Commissioners under the failure of the implementation of the law is in force and gives negative signals to the people of the province of Kirkuk that the scenario of rigging the May 2018 elections may be repeated in the upcoming local elections."
    He added that "the status of the province of Kirkuk constitutional, legal, political and popular does not bear the measures to politicize the election law in favor of party parties want to impose a fait accompli restore the status of the province to the (October 2017) and sacrifice the blood of martyrs who raided gangs and urged the criminal, and re-impose the law in the province."
