    Congratulated the head of a coalition of state law, Nuri al-Maliki, on Friday, the anniversary of the Iraqi Press Festival, while stressing that the press in the country defended heroically and courageously for the interests of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] .
    "On the occasion of the National Day of the Iraqi Press, we extend our warmest congratulations to all Iraqi journalists and journalists and to all media and media institutions throughout the country," Maliki said in a statement received by Al-Maaloumah.
    He added that "our celebration today is the day of the Iraqi press.     He continued, "Mercy to the martyrs of the free speech, to the martyrs of the Iraqi press who did not spare their blood to convey the truth, and defend the interests of the Iraqi people.
