    BAGHDAD (Reuters) - 
    The Federation of Chambers of Commerce (MoU) on Thursday signed an agreement with Turkish chambers of commerce on trade and economic partnerships between businessmen in both countries. 
    The agreement was signed under the patronage of Trade Minister Mohammad Hashim Al-Ani on the sidelines of the Iraqi-Turkish Business Forum, which was held in Baghdad, in the presence of Turkish Minister of Trade Rohasar Bekijan. 
    Al-Ani called on the businessmen and owners of Turkish companies to hold investment partnerships with Iraqi businessmen because the Turkish Republic is considered one of the developed countries in the industrial and agricultural sectors, housing, roads and bridges, stressing that "this forum is an important historical stage because of its role in deepening And the development of joint trade and economic interests between the two countries in all fields. "
    He pointed out that "the need to remove all trade barriers in order to promote economic development, especially after the victory of our armed forces against terrorist groups, where the next phase requires the reconstruction of liberated cities, allowing Turkish companies and businessmen to Turkish companies that have extensive experience in various fields "He said. 
    Al-Ani added that "the new Iraqi government and within its directions are working to support the private sector and involve it in the process of economic development, especially that the Iraqi government's 2018-2022 ministerial platform gave priority to economic and trade openness to neighboring countries with strong desire to find economic partnerships in all fields to establish strategic projects Great serving two ".
    For her part, the Turkish Minister of Trade Rohzar Bakijan on "her country's desire to find investment opportunities in Iraq as it represents fertile ground for investment, especially after the stability of its security situation in recent times." 
    Al-Ani sponsored an agreement between the Iraqi Chamber of Commerce and its Turkish counterpart. 
    The head of the Iraqi Chambers of Commerce, Abdul Razzaq al-Zuhairi, said that "we seek through this meeting to increase the volume of trade and economic exchange between Iraq and Turkey for a wider range and achieve partnerships at the level of the private sector in our countries. This meeting is an important pillar for activating economic relations between Iraq and Turkey and achieving the greatest benefit especially Of the Iraqi economy by supporting the economic trade movement between the two countries. "
    Al-Zuhairi added, "We are working in the Federation of Chambers of Commerce to build an important local industry that takes into account the potential of our country and the large factories it owns. The Iraqi private sector should participate in industrial and commercial projects that contribute to the development of the Iraqi industry and trade sectors in various fields, And can not be developed economy unless there is development of Iraqi industries that have a good history, and therefore we need today the Turkish expertise in support of Iraqi industries and the construction of Iraqi factories in various food and textile specialties and various sectors of industry as the production of clothing, and must also Dr. Iraq was an important industrial center through the activation of treatment or the construction of new plants
