    The Iraqi Islamic Party, said on Sunday that the delay in the adoption of the provincial elections law will have a negative effect on the date of the elections in April 2020.
    The party stressed in a press statement issued in this regard, and arrived in "Noor News" a copy of "the need to adhere to the adoption of the card biometric exclusively in the upcoming electoral practice," noting that "it holds several advantages, notably long-term and included the image of the voter and the adoption of ten fingerprints for each Iraqi voter."
    The party warned that "the attempt of some parties to return to the old card no matter what the justification for this is rejected, it will restore the fraud again for elections, which witnessed the recent parliamentary elections and could not be hidden," adding that "we want elections that restore confidence to the people process Democracy, and to represent his real will and motivate him to assume his responsibility in choosing who represents him through the means and mechanisms are correct, amid steps that facilitate this and do not put obstacles in front of him.
    He added: "The old card that does not contain the image of the voter, and can be voted more than once, but the new biometric card can not be voted without the owner and can not be repeated election for more than once."
    He also called on the party "to oblige the Electoral Commission to distribute the new biometric card to the employees of the state departments of the liberated provinces, like the Ministry of Interior and Defense, which has become a 100% update, as well as through mobile teams, and oblige the government to make the biometric card among the required documents in all transactions, Which drives the citizen to take it and pay attention to it. "
    "These measures ensure that a lot of fraud will be avoided and that the will of the voter will be changed as it was before," he said.
