The Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority (IAA) held a meeting with the International Air Transporters Association (IATA) and attended by the Federation of Travel and Tourism Companies in Iraq to discuss the reactivation of the IATA licensing program for travel and tourism companies in Iraq, which has been suspended since 1991, some 28 years ago.
"This program will enable Iraqi travel and tourism companies to benefit from the global aviation market," the Authority's director general said in a statement issued on Monday.
"He said," He will meet the standards of the work of these companies in a way that reflects positively on the evolution of aviation procedures in Iraq, and provide global business services for airlines and passengers to reach acceptable levels for these companies. "
Khalil said that "the Civil Aviation Authority is currently coordinating with the concerned authorities to implement this program during the next phase."
