    Iran and Baghdad have signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the two countries, including the establishment of an Iranian stock exchange in Iraq, with the aim of boosting bilateral trade, the official Fars News Agency reported Monday.
    The signing ceremony was held in Tehran today between the chairman of the Iranian Stock Exchange, Shabor Mohammadi, and the head of the Iraqi Securities Commission, Alaa Abdul Hussein Al Saadi.
    The Chairman of the Securities Commission, said that with the conclusion of the agreement, the exchange of information and experience with Iran, will be done in a specialized and advanced.
    For his part, Mohammadi said that the memorandum, together with the establishment of a stock exchange, aims to launch mutual funds, without revealing more details.
    The official added that the unification of the legal system of the Iranian and Iraqi capital market is one of the items of the memorandum, which will be followed by a joint committee.

    [size=45]"The conclusion of a memorandum of cooperation with Iraq is one of its main objectives is to establish joint investment funds ... and to unify the legal system of the Iranian and Iraqi capital market," the Iranian Fars news agency quoted the head of the Iranian bourse organization, Shaabur Mohammadi, as saying. "The memorandum also includes the establishment of a branch of the Iranian Commodity Exchange in Iraq, and the creation of an export and import base of goods through this exchange, as well as providing legal and technical advice on the capital market."[/size]
