During the current legislative term, the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee announced that it is seeking to add some paragraphs and observations to the law of compulsory recruitment that prevent the prosecution or accountability of those who are left behind because of the large number of volunteers if approved and implemented.
Chairman of the Committee [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/131483/%D9%85%D8%AD%D9%85%D8%AF %D8%B1%D8%B6%D8%A7 %D8%A2%D9%84 %D8%AD%D9%8A%D8%AF%D8%B1][size=13]Mohammed Redha Al-Haidar[/url] said in a press statement that he has observations on the law (science service) will be added, namely that there is no follow-up or accountability for those who fail to enroll, while preventing them in return for travel or employment in government departments because of their failure.
He stressed that this law is still in the State Consultative Council and has not been addressed in Parliament, and was agreed upon in parliament four or five years ago and submitted to the Council of Ministers and then to Parliament and returned to the State Council and still there because of the political position of some of the blocks that wanted Formation of the National Guard, which is not possible.
He added that his committee sent a letter to the State Consultative Council in order to send the law to be studied and presented for the first reading in the parliament, as it is a very important laws that enjoy great support.
He continued that the law contains a financial aspect, but this project came from the government because it contains salaries for volunteers and details on the certificate, noting that the law contains a lot of important social things as young people will learn discipline and respect.
