The head of the Kurdistan Regional Government, [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/2850/%D9%85%D8%B3%D8%B1%D9%88%D8%B1 %D8%A8%D8%A7%D8%B1%D8%B2%D8%A7%D9%86%D9%8A]Masroor Barzani, received[/url] in his office in Erbil, the national security adviser Faleh Fayad.
According to a government statement, "Barzani and Fayyad stressed the importance of meeting the legitimate demands of the demonstrators, and support the reform steps of Prime Minister [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/17227/%D8%B9%D8%A7%D8%AF%D9%84 %D8%B9%D8%A8%D8%AF %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D9%87%D8%AF%D9%8A]Adel Abdul Mahdi[/url] ."
The statement added: "The two sides discussed, in the presence of the Interior Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, the relations between Erbil and Baghdad, and concerted efforts to resolve controversial issues under the Constitution," noting that: "It was stressed to strengthen cooperation between the Peshmerga and Iraqi forces to deter the risks of terrorists ISIS. "
