Shafaq News / Media office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Hussain al-Shahristani denied on Monday, a statement noting that State of Law coalition will commit to the position of chairman of the parliament if Iyad Allawi would be assigned to form the next government .
The office said in a statement reported for " Shafaq News", that "one of the reporting news sites mentioned that Deputy Prime Minister , Hussain al-Shahristani said that if Allawi would be cost on the formation of the government , then the presidency of the parliament will be the share of State of law coalition”.
The office added that “this issue is absolutely untrue and al-Shahristani will not release a statement in this regard , and he has a certain position , the media from his office issue a statement in this regard
."
“Motahedoun” coalition led by Parliament Speaker, Osama al-Nujaifi , declared on Monday, that the latter agreed with the head of National coalition , former Prime Minister Iyad Allawi , leader of al-Arabiya coalition and Deputy Prime Minister , Saleh al-Mutlaq that they will work as a team in the next stage .
Motahedoun coalition , Ahrar bloc , The National coalition and the Kurds oppose Maliki assuming for a third term after he won the last legislative elections by more than 90 seats.
