The international coalition announced today, Sunday, its intention "as partners of the government and people of Iraq" to help defeat ISIS.
This came in a statement issued by the coalition in conjunction with the Iraqi parliament’s vote to end the foreign military presence in the country.
The statement said, "Our first priority is to protect all coalition personnel committed to the defeat of ISIS, noting that repeated rocket attacks during the past two months have killed members of the Iraqi Security Forces and an American civilian, and as a result we are fully committed to protecting Iraqi bases hosting the coalition forces, and this has limited From our ability to conduct training with partners and support their operations against ISIS and therefore we have temporarily suspended these activities, subject to ongoing review.
He added, "We are still intent as partners of the government of Iraq and the Iraqi people who welcomed us in their country to help defeat ISIS, stressing," We remain ready to return our attention and our full efforts to our common goal of ensuring the permanent defeat of ISIS. Ended 29 / h
