US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo assured the caretaker Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi Thursday evening that his country will do whatever it takes to protect the American and Iraqi people.
Pompeo, in his tweet on Twitter, said: "Today I spoke with Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi about the Iranian attack on Iraqi sovereignty."
