The President of the Republic receives a phone call from the US Secretary of State

Yesterday evening, President of the Republic Barham Saleh received a phone call from US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
During the phone call, according to a "presidential statement", the latest security and political developments were discussed at the regional and international levels, and the need to protect Iraqi sovereignty and respect for the independent Iraqi national decision was
stressed. Constructive in resolving crises and avoiding escalation in a way that strengthens the foundations of peace and stability in the region and the world, as well as cooperation and joint coordination to confront ISIS terrorism and not providing the opportunity for terrorists to reorganize their remnants and threaten international peace and security.
