, Secretary General of the Injaz Movement, Baqir al-Zubaidi, confirmed on Monday, Iraq’s commitment to international covenants and treaties regarding the protection of diplomatic missions on Iraqi soil in all governorates.
Al-Zubaidi said, in a statement received by / Mawazine News / a copy of it, that "the positions of countries towards Iraq are reflected negatively and positively on the positions of those countries and because Iraq has been known to respect international conventions and treaties, especially in relation to diplomatic norms."
Al-Zubaidi added, "It has become imperative for all to abide by the sanctity of targeting these missions, whatever the reasons, because they will undoubtedly constitute a bad phenomenon for the country's reputation and will reflect a picture of the weakness of the state and the existence of a parallel state that controls the movement of the state as it wants, not as the government and legitimate state institutions want."
