Al-Khalidi: Allawi rejected an offer to choose partisan ministers

On Monday, the head of the Bayraq al-Khair bloc, Muhammad al-Khalidi, revealed that Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi refused to accept any political offer to choose partisan ministers in his cabinet, indicating that most of the demonstrators were nominated and chose Allawi to head the government.
Al-Khalidi said in a statement to "Information" that "the talk about giving Prime Minister Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi promises to the political blocs regarding the nomination of partisan ministers is inaccurate because he rejected all of these offers."
Al-Khalidi added, "The assignment of Allawi came at the request of most of the demonstrators and his leaders, after it was chosen out of 50 candidates who were rejected in most of the demonstrations."
