Al-Hadithi said, "The government is working with an economic and financial team to study Iraq’s options for the coming period if the oil price continues to decline in global markets for a longer period and ways to spare Iraq the risks of the economic crisis that can be reflected negatively on the general budget. ".
He pointed out that "meetings are continuing to put urgent measures to limit the repercussions of the global crisis on the Iraqi markets, which are largely linked to oil prices."
Al-Hadithi continued, “The government is keen to avoid the employee and retirees' slice, that is, damages due to the financial crisis, while avoiding any direct repercussions on the citizens of the country.”
