The deputy of the Sadiqin Parliamentary Bloc, Abdul Amir Taiban, stressed that the political blocs do not need an apology for the assignment of Adnan Al-Zarfi as an unconstitutional candidate.
Taiban said in an interview with "Al-Ahd" satellite TV, "The issue of nominating a suitable person for prime minister is an internal matter for the Iraqis and is represented by political blocs, so there is no American influence on our options."
He added, "The meeting of conquest, law, wisdom and all the political blocs responsible for choosing the prime minister has resulted in agreement on an appropriate figure that will be announced in the coming hours in order to resolve the matter in charge."
Taiban explained, "Because of the biased and violating position of the President of the Republic and his choice of a candidate outside the specifications, the political blocs categorically rejected this nomination."
He pointed out that "there is no disagreement over Mustafa Al-Kazemi for his candidacy for the presidency of the government," stressing that "the political blocs do not need an apology from Al-Zarfi because he is an unconstitutional candidate, so the President of the Republic will withdraw the mandate and nominate another person."
