Today, Tuesday, the Central Bank of Iraq issued a statement regarding the transfer of all salary funds and the granting of retirees for the month of March of this year.
The media office of the bank stated, in a statement that Al-Ahed News received a copy of it, that "in conjunction with the state's efforts to combat the Corona virus, the payments system in the Central Bank of Iraq transferred all salary funds and granted retirees for the month of March of the year 2020, and with a high flow of accounts The Ministry of Finance to the employees ’accounts in the various branches of government and private banks, especially those whose salaries have been localized using" electronic cards ", in the process of withdrawing cash from automated teller machines or outlets, in Baghdad and all governorates, after the relevant departments in the Central Bank of Iraq have resumed their work Since March 24th, which has helped support the full liquidity of banks. ”
The statement added: “Here, the Central Bank of Iraq would like to thank everyone who contributed to facilitating the task of distributing these salaries from the Governmental and Parliamentary Crisis Cell, the Ministry of Finance, the Association of Private Iraqi Banks, government and private banks, electronic payment companies and their agents.”
