A jump in the Iraqi Central Bank's hard currency sales

On Thursday, the Central Bank of Iraq’s hard currency sales increased, at the end of the bank’s sessions for the current week, by 18%, surpassing $ 19 million .
A source stated that the Central Bank of Iraq witnessed during its auction for the sale and purchase of foreign currencies today an increase in its sales by 18.75% to reach 19 million and 621 thousand dollars, which the bank covered at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar, compared to Wednesday, where sales reached 16 million and $ 90K .
He added that all the sales went to boost the assets abroad in the form of transfers and credits, while the purchase was not made in cash .
He pointed out that 7 banks have fulfilled the requests to enhance assets abroad.
