    Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Planning announced that the inflation index for the month of January increased by 0.9%, and the annual rate of 3.3%.
    The official spokesman for the ministry, Abdul Zahra Al-Hindawi, said, "The monthly inflation index for January rose by 0.9% compared to the previous month," indicating that "the annual inflation index also increased by 3.3% compared to the same month of 2020." The inflation index rose during the period from November 2020 to January 2021, by 4.2%
