On Thursday, the leader of the Networking Coalition, Abbas Fadel, demanded that the federal government take over the investigation into the bombing of Erbil airport.
"From the constitutional point of view, the federal government is responsible for the investigation process, and for the region to announce the names of those accused of violating the law, especially in light of the existence of cooperation with the United States without returning to the government," Fadel told Al-Malouma agency.
He added, "We fear that there is a conspiracy targeting the areas surrounding the Kurdistan region, in order to pressure the government to expel these factions. Therefore, a neutral and governmental party must undertake the investigation process, and the accused must be handed over to the Iraqi judiciary."
The Counter-Terrorism Service in the region announced yesterday that it had arrested two suspects in the bombing of Erbil airport. End / 25 p
