Legal expert: The role of the jurist and decision-making is the most prominent controversial paragraphs of the Federal Court’s law

The legal expert, Ali Al-Tamimi, revealed, on Sunday, severe legal disputes over some provisions of the Federal Court Law that Parliament voted on and is still the focus of controversy between the blocs, indicating that the most important of them is the role of the jurist in the court.
Al-Tamimi said to / the information / that "six controversial articles in the Federal Court law left by Parliament for consensus, some of which can be resolved and the other remained the subject of controversy and great disagreement."
He added, "Among them is the mechanism for the Federal Court to convene in the presence of all members or by the majority, and how decisions are taken by a simple majority or by a two-thirds vote." And important decisions by a two-thirds majority.
Al-Tamimi explained that "the political blocs were divided around experts in Islamic jurisprudence that they are part of the Federal Supreme Court or their role is advisory only." They shall be, as in the Constitutional Court in France, an advisory council.
He continued, "The court should be made up of 7 members, including the president, as well as the existence of a legal rule that says every judge is a jurist, but not every jurist is a judge."
Al-Tamimi stated that "the rest of the points of disagreement are easy to reach, and there are no major disagreements in the law regarding them."
