Al-Darraji said in a statement today (March 22, 2021), that "fixing the exchange rate is the task of the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank and not Parliament," indicating that "the Minister of Finance does not understand the situation in Iraq . "
He added, "The white paper announced by Al-Kazemi is (very white) and devoid of content, and is similar (to a good master's letter)."
Al-Darraji continued, "The measures to raise the dollar exchange were not accompanied by measures of social protection," and that "the government was long overdue in measures to protect the market and the prices of foodstuffs."
