General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers revealed, on Saturday, the details of Saturday, the national plan for human rights in Iraq.
The secretariat stated in a statement that Mawazine News received a copy of, that "the Council of Ministers approved the national plan for human rights in Iraq, taking into consideration the opinion of the legal department in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers," indicating that "the text of the approval came to rearrange the schedule prepared. To implement the national plan, and add a representative of the High Commission for Human Rights to it, to write treaty reports of the conventions that Iraq has joined, as well as update the plan in a manner that refers to the recently approved draft laws.
She added, "A ministerial committee will be formed and entrusted with the task of coordinating the implementation of the measures included in the plan, and following up on the progress and evaluation of the national action plan, and that, along with the relevant government sectors, it will include representatives of national institutions and bodies and non-governmental organizations interested in human rights issues to support the plan."
He pointed out that “the approval also stipulated the obligation to submit a general annual report on the progress of the plan’s activation work, and its commitment to providing sectoral reports, in addition to defining accurate indicators to track measures, recommendations and activities specified in the plan’s text and evaluate them to the Monitoring and Evaluation Committee every six months, and to complete them within the period. The time allocated to it, and alternative solutions will be studied to fill the gap by canceling the ministries (human and women's rights). '' End 29 / h
