The Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, discussed today, Sunday, with the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Iraq, Hamid bin Aqil Abdros, the development of bilateral relations between the two countries at the parliamentary level.
The media office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives said, in a statement received by “progress” a copy of it, that “Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi received, today, Sunday, the Sultanate of Oman’s ambassador to Iraq, Hamid bin Aqeel Abdros.”
The statement added, "The meeting discussed the development of bilateral relations between the two countries at the parliamentary level, and the continuation of cooperation in a way that serves the interest of the two brotherly peoples," explaining, "The meeting also discussed a number of issues of common interest, regional situations and everything that would enhance stability and security in the region." .
For his part, the Omani ambassador affirmed his country's openness to Iraq and cooperation in all fields.
