Barzani thanks the US ambassador for his efforts in approving the budget law

Today, Monday, the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, thanked the US ambassador to Iraq, Matthew Toller, for his "efforts" in approving the 2021 budget law.
The media office of the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government said, in a statement, that "Barzani received the US ambassador to Iraq, Matthew Toller."
He added, "The meeting, which was attended by the US Consul General in Erbil, Rob Waller, during which they discussed the latest developments in the situation in Iraq and the relations between the Kurdistan region and the United States."
According to the statement, "The US ambassador to Iraq shed light on the strategic dialogue between the United States and Iraq," noting that "his country will continue to support the Iraqi army and the Peshmerga to confront ISIS threats within the framework of the international coalition forces."
According to the statement, "The US ambassador praised the reforms being undertaken by the Kurdistan Regional Government, especially the reform steps taken by the Ministry of Peshmerga."
Barzani thanked the "American ambassador for his efforts in approving the federal budget law," stressing "the commitment of the Kurdistan Regional Government to implement the budget law."
He called on "the federal government to carry out its duties towards the Kurdistan Region within the framework of the General Budget Law."
