The Minister of Foreign Affairs calls for the establishment of a center for interfaith dialogue in Iraq

{Politics: Al-Furat News} Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein met on Monday the head of the Islamic section of the Pontifical Council for Interfaith Dialogue, Monsignor Khaled Akasha, in the Italian capital, Rome.
A foreign ministry statement, of which the Euphrates News Agency received a copy, stated that “during the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to develop them through constructive dialogue in a way that contributes to strengthening relations between Iraq and the State of the Vatican City. They also touched on the historic visit of His Holiness the Pope to Iraq. "This visit had a positive impact, a humanitarian dimension, and represented a message of peace and love for the world."
Hussein called for "the establishment of a center for interfaith dialogue in Iraq, and for the dialogue to expand to include all minorities in Iraq."
