    On Saturday, the Ministry of Communications announced the start of providing fast internet lines with voice communication, through participation in the government “FTTH” optical cable.
    "The company has already started selling internet lines, and the beginning was in the Adl and Hurriya neighborhoods in Baghdad," said Enas Chalabi, the official in charge of relations and media at the Ministry of Communications and Informatics, in an interview with "Al-Sabah" newspaper, which was seen by "Al-Eqtisad News". The rest of the regions, respectively, are part of the ministry’s plan to promote the Internet service provided to citizens at competitive prices.
    Chalabi added, "The price of a minute for a call within the project’s network from one optical phone to another is five dinars, while the price from a optical phone to a mobile phone is 50 dinars," revealing that "special numbers have been allocated to book lines through the customer service program."
    And she continued that "high-speed internet lines were provided with the landline phone service by subscribing to the governmental FTTH optical cable project, and in cooperation with the Sky Horizon Company, the official partner of the Ministry," expressing her hope that "the project will be circulated among the rest of the regions, in succession, to advance the reality of the Internet service provided to citizens." “.
    Chalabi explained, “In the same regard, the optical filaments were organized for the officers and Sinak sites on the Rusafa side to re-program the switches within the (Ericsson) project, as those paths were entered into service in a record time, as well as reprogramming the Ghazali switches and the victory and the salesman and the introduction of all devices for service.
