    Yes Iraq: Baghdad

Today, Sunday, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Adel Al-Rikabi confirmed that the reduction of the ministry’s share in the budget has removed the inclusion of 500,000 families with social assistance salaries, indicating that the ministry was unable to implement its plan because of this reduction.
Al-Rikabi said in a press statement, "The government has allocated a large amount in the budget to the ministry, which cares about the vulnerable and vulnerable groups, the social protection network, and the People with Disabilities Authority, but the Parliamentary Finance Committee has significantly reduced the ministry's budget allocations."
He added, "The ministry managed, through the remaining amount allocated by the government and approved by the House of Representatives, to increase the ceiling of the subsidy granted to the social protection network, which ranges from 25 thousand to 100 thousand dinars."
He pointed out that "the reduction obtained by the budget of the Protection Network and the People with Disabilities Authority by the Finance Committee in the House of Representatives, did not enable the Ministry to achieve its plan by increasing the families included, as well as upgrading the subsidy ceiling and making it acceptable."
He pointed out that "there are from 500 to 600 thousand families, which were supposed to be included," indicating that "the ministry cannot include these eligible families, due to the significant reduction in the ministry's allocations."
