BAGHDAD / NINA / The first deputy chairman of the House of Representatives, Haider Abadi discussed with the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Nikolay Mladenov political and security situation in Iraq and the region.
A statement by the Information Office of the First Deputy cited that "Abadi received today in his office the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations Nikolay Mladenov, and discussed with him the process of forming the next government in addition to the issue of the displaced people and security operations to expel the ISIS organizations from Iraq and the problems between the central government and the province."
Mladenov congratulated Abadi at the beginning of the meeting, hoping the coming period see more work in Parliament to resolve the outstanding problems.
Abadi, in turn stressed the need for concerted all efforts in order to support the security forces in the fight against terrorists gangs, calling on the world's countries to support Iraq in its war against these terrorist organizations and to assist in the humanitarian aspect of the families that were displaced. / End
