On Thursday, the leader of Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq, Qais al-Khazali, blamed the American forces and Israel for targeting the Popular Mobilization Forces on the Syrian-Iraqi border.
Khazali said in a tweet on Twitter, followed by NRT Arabia today (September 16, 2021), that the American denial of the recent violation of Iraqi sovereignty by targeting the Popular Mobilization units does not absolve them of responsibility, because they are the ones who are actually responsible for the Iraqi airspace.
He added that the silence of the government party and its failure to condemn this act by many political forces is deplorable and contradicts the claims of patriotism and concern for sovereignty.
