The Sadrist movement to the French ambassador: We are looking for a government that is far from quotas and foreign interference
Shafaq News/ The Sadrist movement stressed, on Wednesday, the importance of the next political stage in Iraq, noting that the Iraqis are looking for a government far from quotas and foreign interference.
A statement by the Sadrist movement's political body, received by Shafaq News Agency, stated that "the head of the Sadrist movement's political body, Ahmed Al-Mutairi, and in the presence of his deputy Nassar Al-Rubaie, received the French ambassador to Iraq Eric Chevalier and his accompanying political advisor, Remy Darwan."
According to the statement, Al-Mutairi welcomed the visit of the French ambassador to the headquarters of the authority in the capital, Baghdad, reviewing the nature of the strong relationship between the two friendly countries at various levels, specifically with regard to the exchange of official visits between the leaders of the two sides.
During his meeting with the French ambassador, Al-Mutairi touched on the "importance of the next political stage for the Iraqi people, as they look to a government that meets the aspirations of their people to live well and a free and dignified life away from quotas, corruption and foreign interference."
For his part, the French Ambassador to Iraq Eric Chevalier expressed his happiness for visiting the political body of the Sadrist movement and meeting its head, indicating that his country is looking forward to more cooperation and bilateral understanding between the two countries in all fields.
