The Independent High Electoral Commission announced, on Wednesday, the start of the manual counting and sorting process for 264 contested stations in three governorates.
In an interview with the official news agency, Mawazine News, a member of the media team of the commission, Imad Jamil, said that "the process of manual counting of the contested stations in the governorates of Baghdad (Karkh / Rusafa), Muthanna and Najaf, began this morning, in the presence of representatives of the challenged candidate and international observers. and authorized media personnel.
He added, "The number of stations in which the counting and sorting will take place is 184 stations in Baghdad, 31 stations in Najaf, and 49 stations in Muthanna."
