Nechirvan Barzani, Al-Halbousi and Al-Adhari meet with Al-Amiri

An informed political source revealed that an upcoming meeting will be held between the President of Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, accompanied by the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, and the head of the Sadrist bloc, Hassan al-Adhari, with the head of the Fatah Alliance Hadi al-Amiri in Baghdad.
The source said that the meeting will be held today, Friday or Saturday, and will discuss the issue of forming the government and the initiative of the leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Massoud Barzani.
This movement came, on an initiative launched by Kurdish leader Massoud Barzani, which led to the meeting of the Triple Alliance, in Al-Hanana (Sadr's residence in Najaf), which included Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region (the Democratic Party), and Khamis Al-Khanjar and Muhammad Al-Halbousi from (the Sovereignty), with Al-Sadr.
This comes in conjunction with what was revealed by political sources that one of the forces of the coordination framework will announce its alliance with the Sadrist bloc.
The commander of the Quds Force in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Ismail Qaani, made two visits to Iraq last month, in an attempt to bridge the rift between the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, and the forces of the coordination framework.
But al-Sadr stuck to his position calling for the formation of a national majority government, stressing the exclusion of the leader of the State of Law coalition Nuri al-Maliki from participating in it.
Al-Sadr blames Al-Maliki, who headed the government for two consecutive terms (2006-2014), for rampant corruption and acts of violence in the country, in addition to the ISIS invasion of a third of Iraq in the summer of 2014.
The Sadrist bloc topped the October 10 elections, with 73 seats, followed by the Progress Alliance with 37, the State of Law coalition with 33, and the Kurdistan Democratic Party with 31.
Al-Sadr seeks to form a national majority government, unlike the rest of the coordinating framework forces, which demand a consensual government in which all political forces in Parliament participate, similar to previous sessions.
