A study prepared by the Ministry of Interior concluded an increase in suicide cases by more than 10% annually.
The study indicated that 772 cases were recorded during 2021, which is about 100 more than last year, indicating that the proportion of males constituted more than 55 percent, while females exceeded 44 percent.
The study indicated that the difficult economic conditions and the lack of job opportunities, reinforced the despair and pessimism of many people who live in poor families.
