    Earth News/ The Ministry of Transport, represented by the General Company for Ports of Iraq, started today, Tuesday, the rehabilitation, furnishing and maintenance of marine indicator buoys in the Iraqi shipping channels.
    The Director General of Ports, Engineer Farhan Al-Fartousi, said in a statement received by Earth News, "We are always keen to prepare all services to ensure the safe arrival of ships and oil tankers to the ports," referring to "the directive of the Minister of Transport, Captain Nasser Al-Shibli, on the necessity of maintaining the safe passage of the marine units that ship to the ports." The company’s ports are secured.”
    For his part, the Director of the Naval Control and Guidance Department, Captain Ramzi Isha Daoud, stated that “the department’s cadres in the Naval Enlightenment Division, represented by the ship (Al-Faw), worked on maintaining and erecting new buoys in the Khor Al-Khafka channel with (4) buoys and replacing the buoy (14) opposite the port of Basra. oil.”
    He added, "The ship (Al-Faw) also installed buoy No. (15) in Khor Abdullah and returned the spent ones to the technical workshop for the purpose of re-maintenance and return to service. The ship (Eagle) also maintained and illuminated the Khor Al-Zubair buoys, and work is continuing to maintain our marine canal to the fullest extent for the safety of ships. and tankers coming and leaving our ports.”
