    The House of Representatives held its regular session on Saturday, March 5, 2022, headed by Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi, and 265 deputies attended.

    Parliament adjourned its session before directing its president, Al-Halbousi, to meet in the constitutional hall to discuss the formation of the permanent parliamentary committees.
    After that, the House of Representatives administration announced the opening of the door for candidacy for the position of President of the Republic, starting tomorrow and for a period of 3 days.
    Before the session, the KDP insisted on presenting Reber Ahmed as the only candidate, stressing that his choice would go "despite all the attempts of the various blocs and parties to disrupt this constitutional entitlement."
