Hold President Fuad Masum, Sunday, meeting with House Speaker Salim al-Jubouri and Chairman of the National Alliance Ibrahim al-Jaafari to discuss the prime ministerial candidate.
A source in the office of al-Jaafari speech for "Alsumaria News", "The President of the Republic Fuad Masum contract, this afternoon, meeting with House Speaker Salim al-Jubouri, the head of the National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Jaafari, in the latter's house."
The source, who asked not to be named, said: "The meeting comes to discuss and debate the prime ministerial candidate within the constitutional period."
Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki met earlier on Sunday (10 August 2014), the President of the Parliament Saleem al-Jubouri, while the two sides stressed the need to adhere to the constitutional contexts and assign the candidate of the largest bloc to form a government.
He threatened a coalition of state law, earlier in the day Sunday, by resorting to the Federal Court in the case of commissioning of the National Alliance to form a government, with renewed its commitment to the Prime Minister outgoing Nuri al-Maliki as a candidate of the largest parliamentary bloc.
