Shafaq News/ The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hakim Al-Zamili, demanded, on Thursday, the Minister of Interior to cancel food allowance deductions for the ministry's employees, while revealing the presence of "indicators of corruption" in the processing of these contracts.
Al-Zamili said in a document he sent to the Ministry of Interior and reviewed by Shafak News, "We have received many requests and appeals from employees of the Police Directorate and Emergency Regiments in Baghdad Governorate who demand the cancellation of the ministry's decision to deduct an amount of food allowance from them, since most of them live near their workplaces and that the decision affects the their limited monthly income.
Al-Zamili added, "The cases of concluding purchase-feeding contracts have been repeated at the end of the life of the current government, and we have indications that these contracts are tainted by corruption, with the view that previous governments did not conclude such contracts that harm the morale of the affiliates."
Al-Zamili addressed the Minister of the Interior, "the necessity of knowing and the possibility of canceling the order related to the deduction of the amount of food allowance, as it is not in the interest of the female servants, and to take the necessary measures according to what achieves the public interest of the employees of the Ministry of Interior."
