Today, Thursday, the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, congratulated the Iraqi Communist Party on the 88th anniversary of its founding, while stressing the importance of the party continuing its role in political life.
The Media Office of the Presidency of the Republic stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "I am pleased to extend to you and all the cadres and members of the Iraqi Communist Party, my warmest congratulations and blessings on the eighty-eighth anniversary of the founding of the party."
He added, "We recall the militant role that the party played alongside the rest of the national forces in combating tyranny and dictatorship, and recall the great sacrifices it made in defense of peace, freedom, democracy and support for people's rights, in addition to the party's great contributions in various cultural, social and humanitarian fields."
He continued, "We look forward, in this delicate circumstance for our country, to continuing the role your party plays in political life, and joint national action through solidarity and solidarity in order to meet the aspirations of the Iraqis for good governance through the path of reform and confronting corruption, and a capable state that is the protector of sovereignty and a guarantor of national security that harnesses the country's resources." for the service and well-being of the citizens.
