    The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hakim Al-Zamili, confirmed today, Sunday, that the scourge of corruption has squandered the country's resources.
    The media office of the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives stated in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Al-Zamili met today with the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zaidan, at the headquarters of the Supreme Judiciary, to discuss anti-corruption efforts and coordination in the field of approving legislation and laws that serve the service." Citizen". 
    He added that "the two sides stressed the need to strengthen joint coordination in the field of approving laws, combating corruption, and exposing and holding corrupters accountable in accordance with the law."
    Al-Zamili stressed, according to the statement, that "corruption is a scourge that squandered the country's money and capabilities, and it was a cause of the bitter reality that our people live in today, and it was and still is eroding the body of the state in all its joints," noting that "the process of fighting corruption requires exceptional joint efforts among all authorities."
