The former military advisor, Safaa Al-Asam, confirmed, on Saturday, that the practices of the United States of America in Iraq indicate that it does not intend to leave Iraq, while indicating that Washington is fighting the Popular Mobilization and does not want its presence from the beginning.

Al-Asam said in an interview with the "Information" agency, "America is not only exposed to the Popular Mobilization Authority, but is exposed to Iraq in general through its terrorist practices," noting that "the monitoring of American planes and landing terrorists is not something new to Iraq."
He added, "The methods practiced by America in the country, whether at the level of exposure to the crowd or at the level of targeting security units, in addition to the introduction of terrorists into Iraq indicate that Washington does not want to leave the country."
The military advisor explained that "as long as Iraq is unstable in the political and security aspects, all of them are justifications that America uses to maintain its presence," noting that "America never wants to leave Iraq and will continue to create justifications for perpetuating its presence."
Al-Asam added, "Washington does not want the presence of the Popular Mobilization Committee within the Iraqi security institutions, so it has been fighting this formation from its inception until now."
