On Saturday, May 28, 2022, the Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Electricity and Energy Committee said that the Ministry of Electricity has solved most of the electric power distribution problems.
Rady added, "The maintenance of the conveying pipeline was completed a while ago, after interruptions," noting that "production levels are very good, in addition to solving the distribution problem by 89%, leaving only some technical problems."
Radi expected that the hours of supplying electricity during the summer will reach from 18 to 20 hours per day, noting that there are some technical problems that some governorates suffer from, such as bottlenecks in the network and distribution.
He continued, "The complete and final solution to the electricity problem is related to the government's plans to advance the sector," noting that "what is happening now is the imbalance between the construction of stations, the increase in population density and the rate of consumption, in addition to the collection and waste of energy in agricultural areas."
He explained that "among the problems are also the intersections between the ministries of municipalities and electricity regarding sectoral designs inside and outside the administrative borders, not to mention the issue of losses," noting that "protecting power towers is the responsibility of the Ministry of Interior represented by the Directorate of Oil and Energy Police and Operations Command, in addition to the Ministry of Electricity, to prevent the occurrence of any act of sabotage.
