Al-Anbar accuses two federal ministries of “failure” and warns Al-Kazemi of a “disaster”

On Saturday, the mayor of Ramadi district, the center of Anbar Governorate, Ibrahim Al-Awsaj, accused the ministries of electricity and oil of “failure” after the governorate witnessed a new fuel crisis, warning at the same time, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi of an “imminent disaster.”
The residents of Anbar Governorate are facing a crisis of fuel shortages at tire filling stations, and the lack of government institutions’ supply of gas oil, which has increased the suffering of citizens, as a result of the local government’s inability to supply private generators with fuel, which has caused an increase in the price of electric power amps.
The mayor of Ramadi district demanded the Prime Minister and Minister of Oil, “Be aware of the scale of the disaster that could happen, as we are heading into a blazing summer, and the ministry until today covers 40% of the citizen’s need for gas oil related to private generators, so there must be a full awareness of the size of The disaster, the failure of the Ministry of Electricity must be compensated by the Ministry of Oil.”
Al-Awsaj said, “Local governments do not have the authority to increase or decrease fuel quotas, but it is a matter limited to the Ministry of Oil, which in turn was not successful in managing local crises, such as providing gas oil and private electricity generators,” noting that “there is a failure in managing this file.” At a time when temperatures are witnessing a significant rise, and we expected that the ministry would have a strategy of balancing the needs of the citizen and the separation, and this is not a real administration.”
Al-Awsaj accused the Ministry of Oil of failure, and said that “the ministry has failed and deservedly failed in the process of establishing oil refineries throughout Iraq, so it is now resorting to the unsystematic import process, which is negatively reflected on the citizen, because the reality of fuel globally is a complex issue, and Iraq is an oil-exporting country, Our reality was supposed to be better.”
He continued, "The ministry should seek for local production, not import it for 650 dinars per liter and sell 450 dinars, meaning a very high loss, and I am very surprised, as the ministry can establish 5-6 oil refineries throughout Iraq, instead of the loss that accumulates on the shoulders." In addition, the imported fuel is very poor.”
Al-Awsaj added, “The Minister of Oil must understand that his task is not only to export, because he is not a company manager, and the company concerned with exporting is the SOMO Company, and the party concerned with the delivery of oil derivatives is the Ministry of Oil, and it is not successful in delivering the service required of it to the citizen, as is the case of the Ministry of Oil.” electricity".
And he expressed his astonishment “from the huge number of general managers and advisers in the ministry, and so far there is no strategic plan for oil production and export,” noting that “the issue concerns the whole of Iraq and not only Anbar, because we are talking about failure and unsuccessful management in the distribution and production operations.” “.
Al-Awsaj concluded, “There must be a refinery at least in every governorate of Iraq, as it is not reasonable that the failure of the Baiji refinery means the disruption of Iraq, and in the event that the Ministry of Oil remains in this confusion, there must be a sovereign decision to address all these confusions.
