In a situation that closes the doors of speculation and complicates the political scene, the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, told the resigning Sadrist bloc representatives that “there is no retreat from the resignation and withdrawal from the political process,” at a time when Erbil is preparing to host a meeting described as important between the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Alliance of Sovereignty to come up with a unified position. After Sadrist's resignation.
Al-Sadr said, after his meeting in Al-Hanana in Najaf, the resigned Sadrist bloc representatives and the leaders of the first line in the current: “The decision is final to withdraw from the political process, and there is no return to a political process based on quotas, and there is no agreement with the corrupt.”
He added that "there will be no participation in elections again if the situation remains as it is," and subject to the return by saying: "God is able to do everything, and if the corrupt change, we may return."
He called on the representatives of the Sadrist bloc not to disperse and to prepare for any emergency on the political arena, and also called on them to integrate intellectually, religiously, ideologically and politically,” thanking him for their obedience.
On the other hand, a member of the Sovereignty Alliance, Muhammad Qutaiba al-Bayati, said: “The leaders of the Sovereignty Alliance will hold (today Thursday), or tomorrow Friday, an important meeting with the leaders of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in Erbil, in the presence of Massoud Barzani, to discuss the developments of the Iraqi scene, especially after the presentation of deputies The Sadrist movement resigned a few days ago.”
He added that "the alliance of sovereignty with Barzani is present and coherent and will not change, and their position is unified on many issues," noting that "they will enter into a unified path any effort to form the next government."
In addition, the representative of the State of Law coalition that is part of the coordination framework, Muhammad Al-Shammari, said in an interview with “Al-Sabah”: “The resignation of the Sadrist movement’s representatives was their choice and they proceeded with it, and the government must be formed now and the constitutional voids should be filled in accordance with the electoral benefits.”
He added that "the formation of the government will not be completed until after the rise of the replacement representatives to compensate the resigned, and then the procedures will be completed after the end of the legislative recess on July 10, and the replacement representatives must prepare to take the constitutional oath and then start the procedures for forming the government."
And he indicated that “the meetings on the part of the framework are continuing in the form of intensive steps for the purpose of finding the appropriate mechanism,” noting that “the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan is in agreement with the framework, in addition to the fact that discussions are underway to include other Sunni representatives, and there is great hope for their joining.”
For his part, the political analyst, Mahmoud Al-Hashemi, said: “Discussions and dialogues are at their zenith between the forces of the framework bloc and the goal is to ripen an idea that fills the void created by the resignations of the Sadrist movement’s representatives, and it is expected that after the dialogues within the framework and those who joined them can mature an idea to communicate with The Kurds in the region, especially the Kurdistan Democratic Party, because the Patriotic Union has someone to represent it in the coordination meetings.”
