Alsumaria News - Baghdad
, Head of the Popular Mobilization Authority, Faleh al-Fayyad, said today, Thursday, that the current government is a caretaker government and does not have the powers to conduct re-elections, while explaining that the demands to dissolve parliament are a big issue that cannot be accepted when it is raised by one party.

Fayadh mentioned to the channel[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]“The rerun of the parliamentary elections is no longer an issue ofSadrist MovementIt has become related to other components and alliances as well," adding that "the coordinating framework has not yet taken its official position on the issue of holding early parliamentary elections."

He continued, "The proposals of a leaderSadrist MovementTo resolve the crisis, it can be discussed to reach common positions on it," noting that "dissolving parliament and holding early elections will be a solution if all blocs and other political parties agree."

The head of the Popular Mobilization Authority explained that "the current government is a caretaker government, and the re-election is not a prerogative of the caretaker government," noting that "the demands to dissolve parliament are a big issue that cannot be accepted when it is raised by one party."

And he added, "Many of the framework forces had previously called for the elections to be repeated, and this is a matter that could be discussed to agree on its details," explaining that "the coordination framework praised the prime minister's initiative to resolve the crisis, but it needs the consensus of other parties."

He revealed that "the coordination framework authorized Al-Amiri to communicate with Al-Sadr, but the final decision to resolve the crisis will be in the hands of the framework," noting that "we will look at the proposals to solve the crisis when they are realistically crystallized."

Fayadh added, "It is possible to agree on forming a new government that will prepare for the upcoming elections to overcome the crisis. The recent parliamentary elections have resulted in many problems, and we must avoid recurring them in the upcoming elections."

Regarding the green demonstrations, he stated that "the presence of masses under the dome of Parliament is not a natural matter and we are dealing with it as a temporary situation that can be bypassed," adding that "the system of governance in Iraq according to the constitution is consensual and one position cannot be accepted for a specific party."

Al-Fayyad concluded, "The coordinating framework is still on its position, and its candidate to head the next government is Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani."
