    [size=45]On Tuesday, the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs revealed the results of its Minister Fouad Hussein's talks with his Iranian counterpart, Hussein Amir Abdullahian, noting that he delivered a verbal message from Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi to the Iranian President.[/size]
    [size=45]The ministry said in a statement that "Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein visited Tehran, during which he met the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ibrahim Raisi, and conveyed an oral message from Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi. Bilateral relations between Baghdad and Tehran, the security and political situation in Baghdad, and developments were discussed. The regional and international situation and its implications for the security and stability of Iraq and the region.[/size]
    [size=45]Hussein stressed, “Iraq’s keenness to strengthen means of bilateral cooperation with Tehran in various fields, and the Minister stressed the importance of concerted efforts at the regional and international levels to confront extremism, end conflicts, and build bridges of trust and cooperation between the countries surrounding Iraq, including the Islamic Republic and Iran’s supremacy. The language of dialogue in order to create a safe and stable environment, stressing that the stability of Iraq is also important to its neighbor, Iran.”[/size]
    [size=45]For his part, the Iranian president stressed the Islamic Republic's continued support for Iraq's stability and security. In the context of his dialogue with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir Abdollahian, the two sides discussed strengthening bilateral relations and joint cooperation between the two neighboring countries.[/size]
    [size=45]The minister expressed his "desire to work to support and strengthen relations between Baghdad and Tehran in a way that reflects their depth, stressing his keenness to sustain bilateral cooperation in various fields in the coming stage to achieve the common interests of the two countries, and to activate the memorandums of understanding that have been agreed upon with the Iraqi government."[/size]
    [size=45]The two sides exchanged visions and ideas on regional and international issues of common concern. They also discussed developments in the region, the challenges it faces, and the need to support peace and stability through concerted efforts. For his part, the Iranian Foreign Minister affirmed his country’s keenness to deepen the bonds of relations between the two countries, expressing his thanks for Iraq’s stances aimed at pushing the option of calm and avoiding escalation in the region.[/size]
    [size=45]The Minister of Foreign Affairs also met with Iranian National Security Adviser Ali Shamkhani, and during the meeting they discussed bilateral relations and security, as well as the developments of the regional and international situation and their repercussions on the security and stability of Iraq and the region.[/size]
    [size=45]The minister stressed "the importance of joint action to enhance security and stability in the region and to rely on everything that would reduce tension, in order to achieve the concept of collective security," explaining that "Iraq still faces various challenges, including security challenges and confronting terrorism, and that any actions that harm Iraq's security and stability will complicate the scene at home."
