[size=45]The ministry said in a statement that "Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein visited Tehran, during which he met the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ibrahim Raisi, and conveyed an oral message from Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi. Bilateral relations between Baghdad and Tehran, the security and political situation in Baghdad, and developments were discussed. The regional and international situation and its implications for the security and stability of Iraq and the region.[/size]
[size=45]Hussein stressed, “Iraq’s keenness to strengthen means of bilateral cooperation with Tehran in various fields, and the Minister stressed the importance of concerted efforts at the regional and international levels to confront extremism, end conflicts, and build bridges of trust and cooperation between the countries surrounding Iraq, including the Islamic Republic and Iran’s supremacy.
