[size=30]“Thermal plants” may produce 40% of Iraq’s electricity apart from gas.. How can electricity be produced from “the hottest weather in Iraq”?

    Yes Iraq: Baghdad

Iraq’s bet on raising electrical production in a way that prevents raising the demand for gas, which is not available much in Iraq, is an important file, and it is summed up in turning to solar energy sometimes or converting gas stations to combined cycle and others, and perhaps the “thermal stations” mechanism is one of the most important ways to solve this file.
Basra Governorate is approaching the final contract with the Chinese company Shanghai, to establish a thermal plant, the idea of which is to heat and boil millions of cubic liters of salty sea water, thus producing two goals at one time. Electricity, and at the same time the production of one million and 250 thousand cubic liters of potable water per day.

Specialists consider that the exploitation of the large heat in Iraq, contributes to a great economic feasibility in thermal stations, as the energy required to heat water and reach the boiling point will be less, as thermal stations work to heat and boil water and make use of pressurized steam to move large turbines to generate electric power.

And there are 7 thermal plants in Iraq, producing about 7,000 megawatts, which means about 30% of Iraq's electrical production, and by introducing another 3,000 megawatts through thermal stations, it means raising production in Iraq to 24,000 megawatts, of which 10,000 megawatts produces Through “water heating”, a quantity equivalent to more than 40% of the electric production in Iraq, instead of relying on gas and operating gas stations, where the water is heated by burning fuels such as kerosene or black oil and other different types of fuel.
